Real World Experiences with Road Safety Audits
In this session, the presenter and participants will collaboratively work through case studies of real world road safety audits. Four different stages will be considered (conceptual design, preliminary design, detailed design, and pre-opening). Participants will have a package of drawings to work with. 
  • Case Study: Conceptual design RSA of detour and traffic management options for a rural highway bridge rehabilitation project (western Canada, 2017).
  • Case Study: Preliminary design RSA for the extension of an urban expressway and associated interchanges (western Canada, 2017).
